    Apologies for Absence, Substitutions, Declarations of Interest and Dispensations

    Minutes:

    Apologies for absence were submitted on behalf of Councillor Miles Parkinson OBE.

     

    Councillor Joyce Plummer acted as a substitute representative for Councillor Miles Parkinson OBE.

     

    There were no reported declarations of interest or dispensations.

    To submit the minutes of the Cabinet Committee (Street Naming) meeting held on the 24th February 2020 for approval as a correct record.

    The minutes of the last Cabinet Committee – Street Naming held on the 24th February 2020 were submitted for approval as a correct record.

     

    Resolved – That the minutes be deferred to the next meeting as no Councillors that were present attended the last meeting to approve.

    Street Naming Proposal - Nook Lane, Oswaldtwistle pdf icon PDF 132 KB

    To seek approval for the naming of the following street for a new-build residential development located off Nook Lane/New Lane, Oswaldtwistle.

     

    Recommended – That the street be named as set out in the report.

    Minutes:

    The Chief Planning and Transportation Officer submitted a report to seek approval for the naming of the following Street for a new-build residential development located off Nook Lane/New Lane, Oswaldtwistle.

     

    Members were informed that the name proposed is connected to the history of the location of the development site. The name proposed is Bowdler Close, after one of the owners of Eagle Chemical works that previously occupied the site.

     

    All necessary validation checks completed.

     

    Councillor Munsif Dad confirmed he supported the recommendation.

     

    On the report the procedural note at the top is an error and to be disregarded as the committee took place.

     

    Resolved – That the street be named as per the officers recommendation in the report.
