    Minutes:

    Apologies for absence were submitted from Councillor Judith Addison.

     

    There was no substitute representative for Councillor Addison.

     

    There were no reported declarations of interest or dispensations.

    To submit the Planning (Trees) Sub-Committee Terms of Reference which were established at full council on the 21st September 2017.

     

    Recommended          -           That the Terms of Reference be noted.

    The terms of reference for the Planning (Trees) Sub Committee were submitted for information.

     

    Resolved        -           That the Terms of Reference be noted.

    Town and Country Planning Act 1990- New Tree Preservation Order pdf icon PDF 1 MB

    The attached report sets out the issues surrounding the Tree Preservation Order

    relating to the Sycamore Tree at 27 Queen Elizabeth Crescent, Accrington.

     

    Recommended          -           That the application be determined as set out in the

    report.

     

    Minutes:

    The Chief Planning and Transportation Officer submitted a report setting out recommended action on whether the temporary Tree Preservation Order (TPO) that had been placed on the tree below should be made permanent.

     

    Sycamore Tree at the rear of 27 Queen Elizabeth Crescent, Accrington.

     

    The Chief Planning and Transportation Officer presented information and photographs of the tree and advised Members of the Committee that if the Temporary TPO was not made permanent then, notwithstanding the legal status of the 1952 TPO, the applicant would be entitled to fell the tree.

     

    Resolved        -           That the Temporary Tree Preservation Order be removed
                                        contrary to the Officer’s recommendation to make the
                                        Order permanent, as per the report.

     

     

    N.B. Mr David Peake spoke at the Committee in objection of the above temporary TPO and against the Officer’s recommendation to approve a permanent TPO.
