Town and Country Planning Act 1990- Planning Applications for Determination The attached report sets out recommended action on the following planning application(s):-
3A - 11/18/0236: Former Grand Club, Blackburn Road, Great Harwood Erection of 2-Storey building for commercial use (Class A1)
Recommended - That the applications be determined as set out in the report.
Additional documents: Minutes: The Chief Planning and Transportation Officer submitted a report setting out recommended action on the following planning applications.
Resolved - (1) (a) That the following planning application be approved contrary to Officer recommendation as per the report and the update sheet circulated before the committee on the grounds that the committee came to the conclusion that for reasons that the benefit of the development outweigh the concerns about pedestrian safety by the highways authority (Lancashire County Council), and:-
- (b) That delegated authority be granted to the Chief Planning and Transportation Officer to add any conditions appropriate to the development:-

N.B. 1. The Chief Planning and Transportation Officer drew the Committee’s attention to the extra information contained within the update report which was released before the meeting and related to the above planning application.

The Committee requested legal advice on planning reasons for approval.

Resolved - (2) That in accordance with section 100 a(4) and paragraph 5 of Schedule 12A Part 1 Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting whilst legal advice was received on this application:-
