In accordance with s100(B)(4)(b) of the Local Government Act 1972 the approval of the Chair of the meeting is being sought that the following items should be considered at the meeting as a matter of urgency.by reason of special circumstances, which shall be specified in the minutes.

Items 1 and 2 are required to ensure the proper conduct of the meeting, the substantive Item being item 3.  It is suggested that Item 3 may be considered urgent in order to provide sufficient time for the proposed new dignitaries to be informed of and to make arrangements for their attendance at the Mayor Making Meeting on 20^th June 2026 with their family and friends, along with the other dignitaries appointed in 2026, to celebrate their achievement and that this will avoid additional administrative and other costs to the Council by not having to arrange a separate event later in the year.
