Purpose
1.1 To determine the
size of the Cabinet.
1.2 To appoint the
members of the Cabinet.
1.3 To allocate
portfolios or areas of responsibility to the Cabinet Members.

Background
2.1 Under the Leader and
Cabinet Executive model adopted by the Council, which came into
effect on 9th May 2011, the Leader of the Council is now
responsible for determining the size of the Cabinet, appointing
Members to Cabinet and allocating portfolios.
3. Reason
for Decision
3.1 These are set out in
Paragraph 2 above.

Decision
4.1 That the Cabinet
will comprise six members.
4.2 That
the membership and portfolio responsibilities of the Cabinet
Members, as determined by me, are listed in the attached
appendix.
4.3 That
Councillor Paul Cox be designated statutory Deputy Leader.
