3A. 11/20/0318 – Whatmore, Altham Business Park Altham
Full Major: Variation of condition no 2 (approved plans) of planning permission re 11/17/0536 under s73 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
3B. 11/20/0413 - The Cabin End Hotel, Windsor Road, Knuzden Brook, Oswaldtwistle, BB1 2DQ
Major Full: Demolition of former Cabin End, to be replaced with 100% affordable housing scheme comprising 4 x 2 bed semi-detached houses and 16no apartments.
Recommended - That the planning applications be determined as set out in the reports.
The Chief Planning and Transportation Officer submitted a report setting out recommended action on the following applications.
Resolved – That the following planning application be approved, subject to the conditions recommended in the report.
11/20/0318 – Whatmore, Altham Business Park, Altham
NB. 1. This major application came back to committee as there had been a technical failure in February’s committee.
2. Members were keen to agree this application despite the Green Belt issue, it will be good for the area and create jobs.
Resolved – That the following planning application be approved, subject to the conditions recommended in the report and S106 to be signed.
11/20/0413 – The Cabin End Hotel, Windsor Road, Knuzden Brook, Oswaldtwistle, BB1 2DQ.
NB 1. Members commented on the building being in a bad state of repair. This new housing estate will bring a fresh look to the area and there will be no shortage of people wanting to live there.
