To confirm as a correct record the Minutes of the meeting held on 1^st July 2021 (attached).

To deal with any questions submitted under Council Procedure Rule A2.2(vi).

Resources Overview & Scrutiny Committee

The Resources Overview & Scrutiny Committee currently comprises 8 Members (5:2:1).  A request has been received from the Conservative Group to amend the Group’s appointees by the replacement of Councillor Sajid Mahmood with the appointment of Councillor Michael Miller.

Local Plan Member Working Group

The Local Plan Member Working Group currently comprises 7 Members (5:2:0).  A request has been received from the Labour Group to increase the membership to 8 for the remainder of 2021/22 and to appoint Councillor Dave Parkins to the Group, in view of his experience as Vice-Chair of the Planning Committee.

Recommendation – Council is recommended to approve the requests submitted for changes to the appointments to the Committees and Working Groups as set out above.

Rules of Debate

·         The Leader of the Council will move the Minutes, the Deputy Leader of the Council will second the Minutes.

·         Non-executive Members will be invited to make comment or ask questions on the Minutes (5 Minutes).

·         Cabinet Members will be invited to make comments and respond to any points raised (5 Minutes).

·         The Leader of the Council will be given up to 15 Minutes to respond and to answer any questions raised.

·         Any Member may raise any issue from the Minutes; the Chair of the relevant Committee may respond (5 Minutes).
